Aldermoor, Coxford and Maybush locality

The Council will be starting the on-street lining and signing works required in the Maybush, Coxford & Aldermoor scheme area in April and May.

For eligible properties, permits will be available to order online or by downloading a form on the Council’s website (www.southampton.gov.uk/roads-parking/parking/permits/) from 1st May.

The restrictions will come into force on 1st June. Any vehicle parked in contravention of the restrictions from this date may be subject to enforcement action.

As previously advised the scheme will operate on the following basis (see also map below):

  • The permit restrictions will be introduced over a reduced area as a new Zone 27. The north-east section of the scheme is not being progressed due to concerns from residents over the need for the scheme.
  • The permit parking restrictions apply from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
  • Households eligible for permits are shown on the enclosed plan.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to two residents parking permits at a cost of £30 per permit per year.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to visitor scratch cards (£6 for a book of 10, maximum of 6 books per year) and/or 1 annual visitor permit (£30 – valid for 1 year).
  • The permits will allow the holder to park anywhere within the new Zone 27.
  • There is a provision for 2 hour limited waiting for non-permit holders during the restriction period. The Willow Court car park will however be for permit holders only.
  • An Essential Visitor Permit is available free of charge for resident’s dependent on carers.
  • Vehicles displaying a Blue Badge will not require a permit to park in the on-street parking places. A permit will however be required for the Willow Court car park for all vehicles.
  • Vehicles over 5m in length or over 3.5T in weight will not be eligible for permits
  • Any misuse of permits may result in a property being removed from the resident permit scheme.
  • A number of properties in Olive Road that are located within the existing Zone 7, will transfer to the new Zone 27.

Note: No waiting/no waiting at any time restrictions will be introduced, as per the officer decision, across the whole scheme area.

West of Warren Crescent

The Council will be starting the on-street lining and signing works required in the scheme area to the west of Warren Crescent will be carried out in April and May.

For eligible properties permits will be available to order online or by downloading a form on the Council’s website (www.southampton.gov.uk/roads-parking/parking/permits/) from 1st May.

The restrictions will come into force on 1st June. Any vehicle parked in contravention of the restrictions from this date may be subject to enforcement action.

As previously advised the scheme will operate on the following basis:

  • The permit restrictions will be introduced as an extension of the existing Zone 7.
  • The permit parking restrictions apply from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
  • Households eligible for permits are shown on the enclosed plan.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to two residents parking permits at a cost of £30 per permit per year.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to visitor scratch cards (£6 for a book of 10, maximum of 6 books per year) and/or 1 annual visitor permit (£30 – valid for 1 year).
  • The permits will allow the holder to park anywhere within Zone 7.
  • There is a provision for 2 hour limited waiting for non-permit holders during the restriction period.
  • An Essential Visitor Permit is available free of charge for resident’s dependent on carers.
  • Vehicles displaying a Blue Badge will not require a permit to park in the on-street parking places.
  • Vehicles over 5m in length or over 3.5T in weight will not be eligible for permits.
  • Any misuse of permits may result in a property being removed from the resident permit scheme.

The Council will be starting the on-street lining and signing works required in the Dunkirk Road/Coxford Road scheme area will be carried out in April and May.

For eligible properties permits will be available to order online or by downloading a form on the Council’s website (www.southampton.gov.uk/roads-parking/parking/permits/) from 1st June.

The restrictions will come into force on 1st July. Any vehicle parked in contravention of the restrictions from this date may be subject to enforcement action.

As previously advised the scheme will operate on the following basis:

  • The permit restrictions will be introduced as part of a new Zone 26.
  • The permit parking restrictions apply from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
  • Households eligible for permits are shown on the enclosed plan.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to two residents parking permits at a cost of £30 per permit per year.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to visitor scratch cards (£6 for a book of 10, maximum of 6 books per year) and/or 1 annual visitor permit (£30 – valid for 1 year).
  • The permit will allow the holder to park anywhere with the new Zone 26.
  • There is a provision for 2 hour limited waiting for non-permit holders during the restriction period, and an extent of 4 hour limited waiting in Aldermoor Close. The housing car parks will however be for permit holders only.
  • An Essential Visitor Permit is available free of charge for resident’s dependent on carers.
  • Vehicles displaying a Blue Badge will not require a permit to park in the on-street parking places. A permit will however be required within housing car parks for all vehicles.
  • Vehicles over 5m in length or over 3.5T in weight will not be eligible for permits
  • Any misuse of permits may result in a property being removed from the resident permit scheme.

Hollybrook locality

The Council will be starting the on-street lining and signing works required in Hollybrook scheme area will be carried out in April and May.

For eligible properties permits will be available to order online or by downloading a form on the Council’s website (www.southampton.gov.uk/roads-parking/parking/permits/) from 1st June.

The restrictions will come into force on 1st July. Any vehicle parked in contravention of the restrictions from this date may be subject to enforcement action.

As previously advised the scheme will operate on the following basis:

  • The permit restrictions will be introduced over a reduced area as part of a new Zone 26. The proposals for the eastern locality were withdrawn as they did not address residents’ concerns over the limited amount of on-street parking space for residents and short-term school-related parking.
  • The permit parking restrictions apply from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
  • Households eligible for permits are shown on the enclosed plan.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to two residents parking permits at a cost of £30 per permit per year.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to visitor scratch cards (£6 for a book of 10, maximum of 6 books per year) and/or 1 annual visitor permit (£30 – valid for 1 year).
  • The permits will allow the holder to park anywhere with the new Zone 26.
  • Some of the restrictions allow 2 hour or 4 hour limited waiting for non-permit holders during the restriction period, while others are for permit holders only.
  • An Essential Visitor Permit is available free of charge for resident’s dependent on carers.
  • Vehicles displaying a Blue Badge will not require a permit to park in the on-street parking places. A permit will however be required within housing car parks for all vehicles.
  • Vehicles over 5m in length or over 3.5T in weight will not be eligible for permits
  • Any misuse of permits may result in a property being removed from the resident permit scheme.

St James Park & Wilton Road locality

The Council will be starting the on-street lining and signing works required in the St James Road and Wilton Road scheme area will be carried out in April and May.

For eligible properties permits will be available to order online or by downloading a form on the Council’s website (www.southampton.gov.uk/roads-parking/parking/permits/) from 1st June.

The restrictions will come into force on 1st July. Any vehicle parked in contravention of the restrictions from this date may be subject to enforcement action.

As previously advised the scheme will operate on the following basis:

  • The permit restrictions will be introduced over a reduced area as part of a new Zone 26. The restrictions proposed in the southern section of the scheme have not been progressed to allow residents to assess the impact of the implementation in the reduced scheme area and for any consensus to emerge over the scheme extent.
  • The permit parking restrictions apply from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
  • Households eligible for permits are shown on the enclosed plan.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to two residents parking permits at a cost of £30 per permit per year.
  • Each eligible household will be entitled to visitor scratch cards (£6 for a book of 10, maximum of 6 books per year) and/or 1 annual visitor permit (£30 – valid for 1 year).
  • The permits will allow the holder to park anywhere with the new Zone 26.
  • The restrictions in the northern section of the scheme will only allow permit holders to park. In the southern section of the scheme there is a provision of 2 hour limited waiting for non-permit holders during the restriction period.
  • An Essential Visitor Permit is available free of charge for resident’s dependent on carers.
  • Vehicles displaying a Blue Badge will not require a permit to park in the on-street parking places. A permit will however be required within housing car parks for all vehicles.
  • Vehicles over 5m in length or over 3.5T in weight will not be eligible for permits
  • Any misuse of permits may result in a property being removed from the resident permit scheme.
