The resurfacing on Station Road is due to finish on Friday 28 August. However, due to weather conditions, the planned surface treatment for the bridge was not able to be carried out.

The surfacing of the bridge deck is now planned to be completed during the week commencing 14 September. This will be one night of work and will require the closure of the bridge between Porchester Road and Cranbury Road. Advanced warning signs will be put out closer to the time with the specific date and overnight closure time.

We will update this page with the official date closer to the time.

Planned Work

We will be undertaking daytime work to resurface the carriageway and footway, as well as kerb replacements along Station Road between Portsmouth Road and Spring Road.

Work will begin from Monday 17 August for 2 weeks. Due to the narrow bridge, this will require the 24/7 closure of Station Road between the junctions with Portsmouth Road and Spring Road.

Vehicle Access will not be permitted for the duration of the works (Except for direct access).

The official diversion routes can be found via this link

Pedestrian Access

Access will be available to pedestrians out of working hours.

During these works, bus services will be diverted. Please speak to your bus service provider for the best alternative connection.
