Latest News

Work planned to improve access and facilities at each of the nine main bus stops in Lordshill has been pushed back a week. This will commence on the 16 August due to the increasing number of covid self-isolation cases affecting our workforce. We have also revised the order of the bus stops to ensure that we complete changes to a stop used by school buses during the summer holidays. Advanced warning signs will be put up around the stops so you can plan your journeys accordingly.

Project Details

In March the council surveyed local people about plans to improve the nine bus stops in Lordshill district centre and there was overwhelming support for the delivery of a range of improvements that could include new bus shelters, resurfacing, new real time bus information, extended raised bus kerbs, new bins and one of the first large real-time bus timetable screens. In addition we are looking to improve the subway north of Sainsbury's.
