September 2022 Perceptions Survey
In September 2022 a perceptions survey was undertaken by the council to establish the views of local residents and businesses toward Bitterne District Centre. Notification postcards were sent to local residents and businesses and council representatives attended Bitterne District Centre on three days within the consultation period to poll visitors to the District Centre.
793 respondents completed the survey with a further 270 respondents using the map tool to highlight comments within a specific context. The survey sought respondents' general views of Bitterne District Centre as well as their satisfaction with the facilities and assets in the area, such as the library and the playground but also public realm infrastructure such as pavements, lighting and seating.
